Week 1 - 09-01-2006 The first week had highs and lows - beginning with Red Level / Straughn. A packed - standing room only - crowd all were amazed at the loop sided performance by the Red Level Tigers. Coach Grimes had his team ready and well prepared for their season opener - and 3 players all average more than 20 yards per carry. Pleasant Home defeated Samson after just dealing with one of the players injury in a Thursday evening car wreck - and the Florala Wildcats went into Headland and came home with a victory. Coach Hudson had only 20 days to prepare the Wildcats after being hired in June and being handed a team that lost 14 Seniors - and others in their Region picking them not to make the playoffs. Coach Hudson took an overmatched team and walked out having coached what many feel was one of Florala's most memorable victories.
