Straughn vs
Abbeville
3A Region 2
Coach Trent Taylor describes the 2007
Tigers as "a different team" when measured up against last years
2007 squad. "I'm not sure we didn't reach our potential" as he
discussed the 2006 Tigers that never gave up and finished the season
in the playoffs.
Those 12 seniors are gone and left were 10
holes on defense and 9 on offense. "We have one player that
started last year on defense and two on offense" said Taylor during
last weeks X-View appearance. Coach Taylor was optimistic
about the 2007 team as he talked on the Wednesday Night show, but
also stressed that coaching is more than just getting to
[Championship game].
"There is only six state champs in the
whole state - and if your coaching only for that - you might be in
it for the wrong reasons." Coach Taylor is more than just
winning football games - he teaches about winning in life and
aspiring young men to meet their potential.
