All-Star Sports Week
The Alabama High School All-Star
Sports Week will be held in Huntsville and Andalusia’s Anna
Henderson was among players selected to play during the weeks
events.
The rosters and coaches for both
the north and south teams for those sports were released Tuesday
by the Alabama High School Athletic Association. Rosters
for the week’s four other events — football, girls and boys
basketball and volleyball — were previously released in April.
All the athletes selected to
participate in the All-Star Sports Week were juniors this past
year. The All-Star Sports Week is set for July 9-13 in
Huntsville.
Local softball athletes earning invitations were Dothan’s Jo
McAllister, Ariton’s Lexi Phillips, Andalusia’s Anna Henderson
and Enterprise’s Sara Hilton. McAllister was selected as a
pitcher, while Phillips and Henderson were chosen as infielders
and Hilton as a catcher. All will play for the south team
in the July 11 game at Metro Kiwanis Sportsplex.
