DC looks to Florala as playoff game

Dale County is hosting the Wildcats in the final year of a two year scheduled contract.  Last year the Wildcats returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and converted the point after to take an 8-0 lead. 

That was the only score as Florala lost 8-9 to the 3A region 2 team as Dale County finished 4-6 and the Wildcats finished 5-5 before looking to Maplesville in round 1 of the AHSAA playoffs. 

Dale County had the same feat last Friday against #1 Pike County returning the opening kickoff 90 yards for a 7-0 lead.  However, DC lost to Pike County as seventeen different Bulldogs ran the ball in Pike's 60-7 win over the Warriors.

Florala was winning 39-30 over McKenzie as Calvin Mulkey converted three touchdowns - two by land, one by air - none by sea.  Mulkey had 372 total yards for the Wildcats in the region victory. 

Florala prepares to host a first round contest against the fourth seed from region 4 in 1A as Dale County clears out the lockers after the game.
