Could this be a preview of next year's region title game? The reclassification numbers have yet to released, but early discussion was Straughn may move up to the 4A ranks next season. Maybe - Maybe not.... Even if this was a region contest, it couldn't get any more heated than it already is. The stands will be packed on both sides and it could have a playoff atmosphere as the Tigers look to be the second team to beat the Bulldogs this season. 3A region 2 Pike County gave Andalusia's new head coach Heath Harmon a welcome into "Southern" style football, but Harmon has responded since - having the Bulldogs prepared to take on all challengers since. Last year the Bulldogs dropped two in the middle of the season to 3A Geneva and 4A Trinity by two points (combined) - this year Andalusia went on the road and defeated both teams - plus a tackle by James Hogg on the goal line with time expiring against Trinity - put Andalusia in the drivers seat in 4A region 2 and added 2 first place votes from sports writers in the process.
