Andalusia vs. TR Miller
 
Andalusia finally had a former opponent
win a game after Alabama Christian beat Headland by one point,
37-36 last week. However four games into the 2010 season,
does Andalusia know how good they are based on their 1-15
opponents?
TR Miller is up next and the 3A school
is the most dangerous team the Bulldogs have played to date and
will establish a great measurement of Andalusia's early season.
How good is Andalusia? It's hard to determine with
opponents posting a 1-15 mark for the season. On the other
side of the ball - TR Miller lost two
games to start the season and have since rolled over their last
two opponents. Miller fell to 4A Escambia week one
in an overtime thriller, 34-35. However Miller could be
faulted with the a similar story line for Andalusia. The
Tigers have beaten teams will loosing records and lost to teams
with winning records.
TR Miller's last two region opponents were a combined 1-7.
For Andalusia, the team will need to remain focused on Miller
and not be looking down at Week's 7 and 8 for Straughn and
Ashford - while at the same time understand the outcome of
Friday's contest does not impede on the Bulldogs opportunity for
hosting a first round playoff game.
The scheduling for Bulldogs means the second half of the season
is going to be extremely tough. Where they opponents are
1-15 at
this time - no upcoming region opponent has a losing record
(combined 12-4). The Bulldogs face Straughn and Ashford
(8-0) -- Hillcrest (2-2), Headland (2-2) - plus 3A TR Miller
(2-2; 2-1) and 3A rival Opp (2-2; 2-1)
4-0 may be nice right now a 5-5 finish is not out of the realm
of possibilities - although highly unlikely. Andalusia's
finish is more to an 8-2, 9-1 regular season finish - this
Friday's contest will answer a lot of questions.
